Here is a little guide for living in or visiting Columbus for those with celiac disease:) I have ate at all of these places and have been fine! These are all dedicated unless they have a ****
Cherbourg bakery
They have so many amazing options! Some of my favorites are the quiche, choc. chip cookies, cinnamon rolls, lemon bars, and the apple bars. They also have donuts and so much more. Make sure you go in the morning so you can have all of the options!
2. Gluten-Free from the dipped
This is in Delaware but it's pretty close to Columbus and is a MUST visit when you're in the area. They make yeast donuts and they taste so real. I cried the first time I ate one and idc to admit that. The chocolate covered cream stick donuts and apple fritters are my favorite. You can preorder your donuts. It is also like a little GF grocery store and they have so many freezer items that they make like pop tarts, cookies, brownies, bread, etc. They also sell a lot of GF brands.
3. Bake me Happy
This is the third bakery on this list. It has good rice krispy treats. I do not go in often because there is not a ton of variety but if you follow them on Instagram they make cool themed things and you can go in the day that they post something you want.
4. Biscuits by Daddy-O
This is new to Columbus and is awesome! It is all things biscuits! They have breakfast biscuits and dessert biscuits. My favorite thing about this place is that you can buy their mixes and make them on your own. I always get the biscuit and the blackberry cobbler mix. Both always turn out amazing. A small little shop with no place to sit indoors but will be so nice to go to in the summer and sit outside!
5. Choripan Argentine Grill
I always go here to get the steak and sweet potato fries. They have pizza, all types of meat, empanadas, soup, chicken tenders, wings, etc. Not only is it gluten-free but it is grain, soy, sugar, nut, and seed oil free. Super healthy and the owner is very nice! They also have a food truck so be on the lookout on their Facebook and Instagram for that!
6. Bibibop
Everybody knows this is amazing! I go like three times a week and this is what I get to eat on travel days. This is what I get in my bowl: white rice, sweet potato noodles, chicken, cheese, avocado, eggs, cucumbers, and yum yum sauce. This is a chain restaurant and dedicated!
7. Preston's ***** not dedicated but they have a seperate area where they cook and prepare the gluten-free food. Dedicated GF fryer. You can make almost anything on the menu gluten free. Burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, fries. They use different trays for your food and the food is kept seperate when ready at the window. The owners of Preston's own bake me happy so they are more than familiar with gluten-free and celiac precautions.
8. Good Cafe- this is a new dedicated place in Easton. The breakfast waffle and chicken pita were really good! It's a big open cafe with lots of room to do homework or work! The smoothies are not real fruit:/
